Botox® treatment could be most effective on wrinkles that haven’t deepened.* These are known as dynamic wrinkles. Dynamic wrinkles can appear while your face is moving. For example, when you frown. Cosmetically, lack of muscle movement can sometimes prevent the formation of wrinkles.* Sometimes, men need about twice as much Botox® as women to achieve the same results.* This is because the muscles in men's faces can be larger than those in women's faces.
Over time, repeated muscle contractions from frowning and squinting form crows feet and frown lines. BOTOX® Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that addresses these issues.* It is injected into facial or neck muscles. The treatment can temporarily improve the look of both moderate to severe crow’s feet lines, and the appearance of frown lines between the eyebrows.*
The Botox® treatment could yield real and noticeable results.* Some claim Botox® could mitigate uncontrolled blinking and muscle spasms.* Further, it could help treat migraine headaches.* The product is officially approved by the FDA for these medical treatments. Read more at www.botoxcosmetic.com
Our Botox® specialists have medical expertise in facial anatomy. For instance, they are licensed and trained in a field of aesthetic medicine; such fields include dermatology, cosmetic surgery, or oculoplastic surgery.

What is Botox®?
The product is comprised of a neurotoxin. This is produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. It is also called botulinum toxin. It has been used for both medicinal and cosmetic treatments. Medically, it could treat certain muscular conditions.* Also, it could treat excessive sweating and migraines.* Cosmetically, it could remove wrinkles.*
What to expect with Botox®
Botox® is injected with a very small needle, similar to those used in acupuncture. During the procedure, some notice a mild stinging sensation, and most report minimal pain upon injection.* The risk of bruising at the injection site is increased, if you are taking aspirin or ibuprofen. These medications thin the blood, and can also increase bleeding. If possible, skip these medications for two weeks prior to your treatment. Tell your injector about any supplements or medications you are taking before treatment. Some supplements have been known to thin blood, even if they are "natural." Examples include fish oil pills, gingko biloba, and vitamin E. Avoid these supplements for two weeks before your treatment.
The injections are placed directly into the areas where results are desired. A Botox® wrinkle treatment is generally pain free, but some patients experience a slight tingling sensation or soreness at the injected area for a brief period of time.* Some Patients have been able to return to their normal daily activities immediately after the procedure.*
What are your treatment goal?
Botox® is not a "one size fits all" procedure. With a skilled hand, a marvelously natural and refreshed look results; however, poor application can result in an unnatural and frozen look.* The procedure requires careful analysis and is individually tailored to meet the ultimate goal of a more relaxed and refreshed you.*
There are several factors to consider when determining whether Botox is right for you. These factors include your most used facial muscles, your facial muscle balance, and your unique asymmetries. Other factors include your job, your social life, and your desired look. Whatever your preference or desired outcome, Orchid Spa and Wellness possess the eye of an artist to help you achieve the results you desire.*
After the procedure
After the injections, you will rest in an upright or semi-upright position on the exam table to ensure your comfort. You will be instructed to avoid lying down for some time, and to avoid strenuous activity for several hours afterwards. This reduces the increased risk of facial bruising. It may be necessary to have two or three sessions of Botox® treatment for deeper wrinkles for more optimal results.*
